Dear friends,

I could not be in a position to write a letter to you during the last 2 & half months as I suffered   stroke following severe blood clotting in the brain. Doctor advised me to avoid excess use of mobile and as such I could not contact you over phone as well. And yet I worked actively in connection with the issues of Administrative Staff of NSSO Offices especially FOD offices. During this period I was in constant touch with the authorities concerned with regards to the clearance of the restructuring of the Administrative Staff. As a result, order restructuring the Administrative cadres of DPD/SDRD has been issued and the restructuring of the Administrative Staff of FOD is appeared to be in the final stage.

Moreover, the process of appointment of LDC and promotion of UDC to Assistant in FOD has been accelerated through seeking information under RTI and other methods.

LDC-UDC & MACP issues

The interference of the JCM (Staff Side) and Confederation of Central Government Employees & Workers on the issues of LDC-UDC enhanced the chance of merger and upgradation of the Grade Pay of LDC & UDC. Similarly, National JCM (Staff Side) has convincingly placed the need of giving pay scale on promotional hierarchy while granting financial upgradations and demanded the 7^th Pay Commission to ensure it in its recommendations. It is to be noted that this Association single handedly brought these issues in its height.

As regards the organizational activity, minutes of the Nagpur General Body Meeting was put up to the Ministry immediately after the meeting but no communication in connection with the recognition of the Association has been received so far. In this connection, latest position is being sought.

2^nd September 2015 Nationwide strike:

Decision to participate in the Strikes called by the Confederation has already been taken in the General Body Meeting. Now, in order to get the demands put forth by the Confederation accepted by the 7^th CPC and also with other issues related to the people, Confederation has called a nationwide strike on 2^nd September 2015. In this connection letter circulation meeting has already been sent to the members of Central Executive Committee through e-mail with a request to inform their views/consent on the matter by 11th of this month. Association has to serve strike notice on on the same day.
